Triple Crown Homes was thrilled to welcome back the Matriach, Monica Plunkett, earlier this month when she helped out in the office for a few days! Monica and her husband, Oliver, started Triple Crown Homes in 1988. The pair met when Monica immigrated to the United States from Ireland in 1951. Shortly after, they were married and moved to Wisconsin where they raised their eight children. In 1985, Monica and Oliver decided to move to sunny Ocala, Florida. Three years later, their ninth “baby” was born—Triple Crown Homes. Monica retired from the company in 2006, but it’s safe to say she left it in good hands.
The company has always been a family affair, with John being the first of the children to work for Triple Crown Homes. Since then, five of the eight children have joined the team. John is now the President, Patrick and Kevin are Team Leaders, Kathleen is a Sales Manager, and Micheal is the Vice President of Construction. The siblings have continued to infuse Monica and Oliver’s vision and values into every aspect of the business. Every Triple Crown home is built with passion and attention to detail, and every client is treated as an extension of the family. With over 1,500 homes built in the greater Ocala area over the last 32 years, that’s a lot of extended family!
We are so grateful for Monica’s good health and that she is available to help out in a crunch! While she was only filling in for a few days, the rest of the Triple Crown Homes team is here to help when you’re ready to build your dream home. Get in touch today to learn more about our building process, the communities we build in, and our available homes and lots.
