In January 2019, it was announced that Marion County would soon become home to the World Equestrian Center. Construction is well underway on the new facility, which is located between U.S. 27 and State Road 40. The brand-new, state-of-the-art World Equestrian Center will include:
- 4 world-class climate-controlled indoor arenas
- An outdoor stadium spanning 140,000 square feet
- Luxury boutique shopping
- A 5-star luxury hotel with an estimated 260 rooms
- Many fine dining opportunities
- Recreation vehicle parking to accommodate 200 vehicles
- Residential living with 2,400 homes ranging from condominiums to luxury estate homes
A perfect fit for the Horse Capital of the World, “World Equestrian Center’s world-class event grounds and exquisite World Equestrian Estates offer unparalleled access to Ocala’s horse country.” The equestrian complex will be the largest of its kind in the United States, sitting on 4,000 acres. However, the center itself currently inhabits 378 acres—at least for the time being. Another 300 acres have been reserved for expanding the complex in the future.
In a recent construction update, it was announced that developers are just months away from finishing the new facility. The center’s many buildings, including the indoor and outdoor arenas, stadiums, and RV park have come together beautifully! The commissary is surrounded by brick paths flanked by gorgeous foliage while the sales office features many elegant and luxurious design details. Every detail adds an air of opulence to the facility. We can’t wait to see it all in person. For now, we’ll settle with the latest birds-eye view showcasing all of the amazing progress on Ocala’s new World Equestrian Center. Watch it below.
