Halloween is just around the corner, and there’s still time to make these fun and easy Halloween ideas. Fun and Easy Halloween Ideas
Witches Brooms
Fun to make and even more fun to eat! Use miniature Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and your favorite pretzel sticks to make these adorable witches brooms. Unwrap the mini peanut butter cups and turn upside down on a plate or serving plate. Poke pretzel sticks in the middle of each peanut butter cup and you have adorable witches’ brooms that are tasty too!
Rice Krispie Pumpkin
If you can make Rice Krispie Treats, you can make this adorable pumpkin treat. Use the recipe on the box of Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® cereal.
Melt butter on medium heat in a pan and add marshmallows and stir until melted. The recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine but I used a whole stick- they taste much better that way, trust me.
Add food coloring (ratio of one drop of yellow to two drops of red to make a Halloween orange). I used about 30 drops of red and 15 drops of yellow.
Stir until the color is evenly distributed.
Fold in rice cereal until evenly incorporated.
Press into pumpkin shaped tin (available at any craft stores like Michael’s, Joann Fabrics or Hobby Lobby) and let cool. Remove from pan and fill eyes, nose and mouth cavities with colored M&Ms.
Halloween Candles
Nothing could be better than these super cute Halloween containers. All you need for these cute containers are some Halloween ribbon, Mason Jar, and Mod Podge. All of these items can be purchased at any craft store or party store. Choose your ribbing and cut a piece long enough to go all the way around the jar. Mod Podge or Elmer’s glue it on so it stays in place. I used a paint brush to apply the glue and did a couple of coats allowing it to dry between applications. Fill with treats like pencils, glow sticks, candy or Halloween decorations. You can even use a small LED light inside for a safe candle.
Teal Pumpkin Project
Don’t forget about the Teal Pumpkin Project. The Teal Pumpkin Project is a movement for kids who have allergies and can’t enjoy most of the treats handed out on Halloween. If you’re giving out treats that don’t have nuts or other known food allergens, small toys like pencils or glow sticks or other non food item, then consider placing a teal pumpkin on your porch or front step so kids know your home has treats they can enjoy.
