An Update on the World Equestrian Center Opening Coming Soon to Ocala, Florida

In January 2019, it was announced that Marion County would soon become home to the World Equestrian Center. Construction is well underway on the new facility, which is located between U.S. 27 and State Road 40. The brand-new, state-of-the-art World Equestrian Center will include:

  • 4 world-class climate-controlled indoor arenas
  • An outdoor stadium spanning 140,000 square feet
  • Luxury boutique shopping
  •  A 5-star luxury hotel with an estimated 260 rooms
  • Many fine dining opportunities
  • Recreation vehicle parking to accommodate 200 vehicles
  • Residential living with 2,400 homes ranging from condominiums to luxury estate homes

A perfect fit for the Horse Capital of the World, “World Equestrian Center’s world-class event grounds and exquisite World Equestrian Estates offer unparalleled access to Ocala’s horse country.” The equestrian complex will be the largest of its kind in the United States, sitting on 4,000 acres. However, the center itself currently inhabits 378 acres—at least for the time being. Another 300 acres have been reserved for expanding the complex in the future.

As it stands, Florida’s World Equestrian Center “is designed to offer the ultimate competition experience for both horse and rider … World Equestrian Center and World Equestrian Estates will feature approximately 1.5 million square feet of riding space. The grounds will be manicured with mature trees and hundreds of thousands of flowers. On-site greenhouses will keep the flowers blooming year round. Visitors and competitors alike will find a park-like atmosphere around the grand prix area and throughout the grounds. Paver sidewalks and a tree-lined entrance enhance the park-like feel at World Equestrian Center.”

In a recent construction update, it was shared that many parts of the new facility are undergoing finishing touches, including the indoor arenas, outdoor arenas, and stadiums. Details such as lighting and fencing have also begun to take shape around the complex. Watch the video below to get the full birds-eye view of the progress on the Ocala’s new Word Equestrian Center.

My favorite part of the home building experience is seeing the smiles on customers’ faces when they are handed the keys to their brand-new Triple Crown Home! The expression on their faces when they open that front door for the very first time is remarkable and so rewarding.
