First Friday Art Walk

Strawberry Jam 5K
When: March 3rd, 2018
Where: McPherson Complex
Ocala, FL

Back for our second sweetest race ever!! A deliciously sweet addition to the Annual Strawberry Festival in Ocala. The Strawberry Jam 5K along with the Habitat Strawberry Festival are fundraisers to raise enough funds to build the 2018 Strawberry House for a qualifying family. The 5K will start/end at McPherson complex (by the DMV building) and wind through the beautiful neighborhoods.  The course is 100% asphalt with water stations provides at 1.5 miles and at the finish line located at the 5th Annual Habitat Strawberry Festival.

Motown Downtown

Join United Way for the 8th annual St Paddy’s Day 5K Run/Walk in downtown Ocala to benefit the United Way of Marion County’s work in health and wellness. Hosted by Youth United Way, the organization’s high school program for juniors and seniors who are looking for ways to expand their leadership qualities while contributing to their community through volunteering, fundraising and advocating for issues important to the United Way.

History Under the Stars

Engineering Day

Ages 5-15 and parents. FREE, limited to first 125 registered participants. In partnership with the Florida Engineering Society, the Discovery Center presents this fun free family event. Children ages 5-15 will plan, build, test and compete in specialized challenges alongside engineering professionals. Pizza lunch provided.

March for our Lives Day

On March 24, the kids and families of March For Our Lives will take to the streets to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we end gun violence and mass shootings in our schools today. March with us in Washington DC or march in your own community. On March 24, the collective voices of the March For Our Lives movement will be heard.
